Jamila Norman a.k.a (Farmer J) is a first generation daughter to Caribbean parents; whose history is rooted in agriculture. She holds a BA in Environmental Engineering from University of GA, Athens. She is a permanent employee of the State of Georgia Environmental Protection division and farms full time in addition. She is also a mother of three, Vice President of the South West Atlanta’s Growers Cooperative, is instrumental in heading several Farmer's Markets primarily developed for underserved communities and represented the state of GA in the Terra Madre Food Olympics in Italy 2015 plus many more accomplishments. She is passionate about the work that she does to contribute to a healthy economy for all. In her spare time, she loves to entertain family and friends by growing and preparing healthy and delicious food.
